Lacrosse Cleats + Turf Shoes

LEARN MORE...

What is the difference between a turf shoe and a cleat?

The purpose of a cleat is to provide maximum traction in soft grass or mud-laden field. The cleat studs are meant to dig into the ground upon impact to help avoid slippage. Turf shoes are designed specifically for artificial turf surfaces and have a larger number of closely positioned, short rubber studs or nubs on a flat style soleplate.

Are there different cleats or turf shoes for different sports?

Yes, we do not have soccer cleats in our inventory.  We sell field cleats and turf shoes for lacrosse and field hockey.  We also have cleats for softball.  The stud arrangement on the sole is different between field cleats and softball shoes.

Are there different shoes for field hockey?

Field Hockey players can wear field cleats and turf shoes, but we sell Adidas shoes which are designed for extra protection from a field hockey ball. And, the Fabela X was designed for the USA team to play on water turf fields. Field Hockey players can not wear high-top cleats or turf shoes because the shin guards will not fit in them.
